It took me 13 years to get the guts to say something about what happened to me under Dr. Kim’s care.

During my first pregnancy I was young and had no idea what to expect. I researched birth plans and spoke to Dr. Kim about avoiding an epesiotomy. He said he would not cut me unless the baby was at risk.

The first red flag was when he said my protein tests cane back abnormal which indicated the baby may have Down’s syndrome and even though I was 15 weeks pregnant suggested an abortion. Later we found out his estimation of my due date was incorrect and the levels were actually normal.

He induced my labor at 36 weeks which is baffling to me. I’m still unsure why. My labor was going fine and when he walked in the room to deliver my son he pulled out his scissors. I said don’t cut me to which he responded by looking directly in my eye and proceeded to do a very old fashioned y episiotomy. When it was time to cut the cord he did not offer it to my husband instead he clipped it himself and tossed the cut portion upward on my belly which sprayed everyone in the vicinity in the face with blood. The nurses later apologized about it and said they were sorry for the way he acted. They were the ones that informed me that type of episiotomy he gave me was not used any longer. I was in severe pain. He prescribed me no pain meds and told me to take Tylenol. My nurse told me to go back in to the ER after discharge and complain and they would prescribe them to me there under a different physician.

At my post partum appointment I complained about the epesiotony and said it felt like he had seen me up too much. His response was my husband would like it better.

He absolutely destroyed my birth experience and my recovery was long and unpleasant. My body has never functioned the same and I have excessive scarring.

Had I known then what I know now I might have brought a lawsuit against him. He is a terrible terrible Doctor. I would not recommend him to my worst enemy.

Really great doctor 10 stars ...... Tells you spot on check him out also fast service . Front desk is all so nice .
