Fancy hotpot in New York!! I will definitely come here next time if there is chance. The most valuable point is we can choose three kind of soup combination (medium spicy is quite enough for us, tomato and Chinese chicken soup are also enjoy a lot💖) Beef and pork belly is good as well, but vegetable combo is not that much...overall, my friends and I are both recommend this hotpot. The average price is approximately 50 dollars. By the way, they provide big black bag for our coat in winter...so sweetđŸ„°âŁïž

On a 20-degree day in Manhattan’s Chinatown, a hot pot meal is the perfect choice to warm up.

We decided to visit Da Long Yi Hot Pot on Canal Street, and it didn’t disappoint. The restaurant offered a pleasant street view, an open and inviting space, and friendly staff. But the real highlight? The food.

We chose the chestnut chicken soup base and ordered a generous assortment of meats. My favorite was the Mongolian fresh lamb—it got me wondering about the everyday cuisine of Mongolian people. The wagyu short ribs, however, were slightly underwhelming, especially since I’ve had real Kobe beef before.

That said, the “Pink Dream” drink was delightful, and the sauces and wood ear mushrooms are unlimited, which was a bonus.

Overall, I’d definitely recommend this spot. Next time, I might try their Wagyu Feast to see how it compares!

Ordered delivery via Grubhub and got the beef mala tang with few additions. I’ve been to this restaurant before when it first opened. They’re known for their spicy butter hot pot, which was really spicy even at the lowest spice level. I was glad they were available for delivery since I was craving mala tang on a chilly night. It hit the spot and portion size was big. It came with ingredients to make your own dip but wish they also gave chili oil. The food was still warm when I got it and enjoyed it with a glass of beer.

It felt more like a factory than a restaurant. There was no interaction with the staff; everything was handled via an iPad, and the explanation of how the hotpot worked was very poor. This was our first time trying it, and the experience left much to be desired. The broth flavors were very bland, and this style of dining felt more like a messy hassle than an enjoyable meal. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a success for us.

Great service especially same day booking and give us bags to put away our coats. They are a bit busy thou and it seems like always crowded.

Food is high quality and it would be nice to know what people favorite. We just went blindly on our order but we did well. The 3 soup basis is definitely a good idea since the spicy is well very spicy.

Ambiance is nice. We had enough space to eat and move around. Unlike the all you can eat place, they don’t squeeze you but you do pay a few dollars more in the end. I prefer this way

DLY is a chain from China, but Haidilao it is not. I wouldn't even compare the two, but they're kinda gunning for the same vibe with the elegant, modern decor and set-up.

We got the Double Flavor Spicy Beef Tallow and Pork Feet soup bases, though I mostly avoided the former because I wasn't feeling like purging my insides for the next 48 hours. But even if I had, I don't think I would've liked DLY's version, which was way too oily even by mala hot pot standards. The Pork Feet soup was fine, but not distinguishable from every other version I've had.

We split the Value Combo for 2, which would definitely not be enough food if both of you are starving. We tacked on taro and winter melon as well. Everything was fresh and prepared well, but no different than any other upscale hot pot spot in the city.

My main gripe was that at 5:30pm, they were already out of several of the base items, forcing us to have to pay extra to choose something else from within the Combo options. And there are a lot of upcharges if you want something even slightly better.

Total bill was $69pp. I've paid less for more. At least Haidilao gives you ice-cream.

2x Combo Hotpot (for 2)
-Pork Leg Broth: So rich and yummy. This was my favorite of the 3.
-Tomato: Also very tasty. Definitely tasted like they stewed tomatoes for hours to get this taste.
-Spicy: They warn you that it’s spicier than other hotpot places and I believe it. I can usually handle spice, but this spice hits the back of your throat. I enjoyed it but was glad we had other broths to balance out the meal.

Wide array or vegetables and meats which were good quality. Wish they gave more veggies though. There was also an area to select your own sauces, but the broths were tasty by itself!

Would I go back? Yes if I’m wanting a pricier hot pot.
