The de Jong Concert Hall is unique in so many ways. I was enthused to see the amazing architecture and the way that they hid this beautiful place inside of the arts building. It was so much greater than I could have expected! As were the performances. I would highly recommend visiting this place to see it for yourself.

Quite beautiful hall, was a bit difficult to find where we were going, but we finally found our way. Sound is lovely. Seats aren't terribly comfortable, but they aren't hard.

Biggest thing to remember is: it is a college theater, some students do talk through performances. It is to be expected, but it does change the feel of the place.

First time to the de Jong Concert Hall last night for the Wynton Marsalis and Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra concert.

The concert hall is fabulous! The seating is intimate, entrances and exits are well marked and easy to use.

I was sitting in the balcony, front row just right of center (GG 8). Acoustics were superb and sight lines were fantastic. You could hear every player clearly (there were 16 including Wynton) and you felt they were playing just to you.

At the end of the concert, Wynton came back out for a well-deserved encore. He walked down from stage right, into the audience and played his last, slow, emotional trumpet number right to the people. No mic, just him (pianist, bass and drum players remained on stage). I could hear every note, even the long, super quiet, fading tones. Oh! To be the guy in the front left corner seat! Wynton was practically in his lap!

Bottom line, the de Jong Concert Hall is a fantastic facility, easy to get to, get in and out of, great sight lines and superb acoustics!

Beautiful woodwork. Good views from almost any seat. Good acoustics. I've seen many great performances here. Prices are pretty good.

Great place to go and see plays, musicals, and concerts! Wonderful seating, beautiful balcony and place in general
